Today, we deposited over thirty history books published by Pen and Sword in the Reference section of Leiston Library. These books are on loan to the Library and can be consulted on the premises by the general public, but are not to be taken out.
A full list of the books deposited can be downloaded from https://avsfhg.org.uk/downloads — shown there as "Pen and Sword publications at Leiston Library".

It was agreed at a recent Committee meeting that our monthly ‘Drop In Tuesday’ sessions at Leiston Library should recommence with effect from 5th October between 2pm-4pm, with subsequent sessions scheduled for the same time on the first Tuesday of each month. You may recall that we were only able to host one of these events before the first national lockdown in March 2020. However, it was well attended and, if demand proves to be strong, we will consider extending the ‘service’ to other libraries in the area, including Saxmundham and Aldeburgh.

We have arranged with Leiston Library to host an initial series of free Drop-In Tuesday sessions there — the first session will be on 3rd March 2020, and then on 7th April and 5th May. As with our Help Centre Saturday sessions held fortnightly next door, experienced members of the Group will be at the Library on the first Tuesday of each month to offer practical guidance. The sessions will run from 2-4pm, and are completely free. You don’t need to make an appointment, just ‘drop-in’ and we’ll do our very best to help. We hope potential visitors will appreciate this accessible venue, and look forward to meeting you!
